Český Krumlov is one of the most beautiful small towns in Europe, and the best way to see it from Prague is at your own pace. I'll pick you up at your hotel, drive you there in comfort, and shape the day around what you want to see — with history, stories and local tips along the way.

A day with me
Start when you like — early to beat the crowds, or a relaxed 9–10 am. On the way I can stop at Hluboká Castle, the fairytale chateau near České Budějovice, or at Holašovice, a UNESCO-listed village of Baroque farmhouses. In Český Krumlov I'll guide you through the old town and around the castle grounds, and you'll have time to find a good lunch and take in the views over the river bend. We drive back in the afternoon, and you're at your hotel by evening.
If you'd rather skip a stop or stay longer somewhere, just say so. It's your day.

Castle interior tour
Castle interiors can only be visited with the castle's own guide, at fixed times, and only in the open season. If you'd like to include one, I'll reserve your tickets in advance for a time that fits your day. The reservation must be paid in advance, so please let me know when you book.

How long is the drive from Prague to Český Krumlov?
About 2 hours each way by car, depending on traffic and where we stop.
Is Český Krumlov doable as a day trip from Prague?
Yes. With a private car you can leave early, have several hours in town and still be back in Prague in the evening. Public transport takes much longer and involves a change.
How much does a private day trip to Český Krumlov cost?
From €450 per car for up to 4 passengers, from €580 for a minivan (up to 8+1) and from €680 for a Mercedes V-Class (up to 7+1). The final price is confirmed in writing before the trip.
Can we visit the inside of the castle?
Yes, but only on a tour led by the castle's own guides, at set times and during the open season. I can reserve your tickets in advance for a time that fits our day. The reservation has to be paid in advance. Please ask me about current opening periods when you book.
Do you guide inside the castle?
I guide you through the old town and around the castle exteriors. Inside the castle, tours are led by the castle's own guides.
Can we add other stops?
Hluboká Castle and Holašovice are the most popular, and I can suggest others to suit your interests.
